Why “Pictogifts”?

First of all, it’s catchy.

Second, on our honeymoon we happened upon a “pictoglyph” trail, which sported a really amazing pictoglyph wall, which featured two birds kissing. We promptly fell in love with it.

Third, we feel very grateful for each other. God has given us a special gift in our relationship. (Click here to read how He brought us together!)

Fourth, because Matthew is fascinated with the way that we make symbols that communicate truths, how those meanings are made clear, misunderstood, and even misappropriated. The world we live in overflows with profound meaning. Matthew wrote his masters thesis on this subject, so don’t get him started.

Fifth, Shanna really likes the kissing birds.

Sixth, we like making things. We hope that they will gift you with blessings beyond the physical objects that we make.
