Imaginaire: Sunset Under Bridge, giclée on canvas, 8” x 19”, gallery wrap

A gallery wrap painting of a vibrant sunset appearing underneath a Gulf Coast bridge. My grandparents would stay a state over when I lived in Florida. When I drove over to visit them I would often see a sunset or sunrise through the bridge depending on the time of day of the visit. I really liked how well this painting turned out and it reminds me of many happy visits.

Little Bible Prints Set of Three, print on photo paper, 5″ x 6.75″ each

After a spiritual crisis, I began painting famous scenes from the Bible, but not from the typical perspective artists normally paint them. I wanted to bring them to life in color, emotion, and vivid detail, trying to depict them with as much historical authenticity as I could find. I originally printed these in 2014 and they got lost in the shuffle of life until recently. The inferior ink from my signature bled so I’m marking them down.

Little Landscape Prints Set of Three, print on photo paper, 5″ x 6.75″ each

In my MFA I painted plein air paintings almost every week. I’d find a tree that I liked and explore the colors, atmosphere, and form, placing it quickly in a pleasing composition. This set of three landscapes is a collection of three of my favorite trees. I originally printed these in 2014 and they got lost in the shuffle of life until recently. The inferior ink from my signature bled so I’m marking them down.

Study of a Vermeer, 11” x 14”, oil on canvas

Jan Vermeer has intrigued me because of the lifelike qualities he evoked in his oeuvre. This painting is the only painting he made dedicated to the craft of art, portraying an artist, possibly a self-portrait from the back, employing the tools of his trade. I painted this to study the way he composed his pictures, the colors he used, and the way that he used light in a scene. Marked down 50% for a limited time.

Moonshower Over Texas, giclée on canvas – proof, 10” x 12”

One night, while driving through theTexas Hill Country, I saw the moon emerge from the clouds and, immediately, I saw in my head a landscape with a rainstorm and the moon shining through. I ran a successful Kickstarter to sell it and a few other works. This is a proof from that Kickstarter.

Birds on Pilings, print on photo paper, 5” x 6.75”

One of my favorite plein air paintings. If you live near pilings, you know the birds congregate there. Someday I want to paint a large piece with much more detail. Originally oil on canvas, but then scanned in and touched up digitally. I originally printed these in 2014 and they got lost in the shuffle of life until recently. The inferior ink from my signature bled so I’m marking them down.

Appalachian Marsh, print on photo paper, 5” x 6.75”

When my family camped in Appalachia once, the campground sat near this little marshy area. As the sun rose, I painted this as quickly as I could. I really like the way the bright yellow sunrise reflects in the water. I originally printed these in 2014 and they got lost in the shuffle of life until recently. The inferior ink from my signature bled so I’m marking them down.

Early Delivery Cards, 10 count

I sketched this whimsical cartoon drawing just prior to our daughter’s birth. It features a dedicated stork who is attempting to deliver a very cute baby. The baby, however, intends to get delivered sooner rather than later.
